How do you get Ron past the Hinkypunks in the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkban game for PS2?

I've been stuck at this point for months (It's in the part called Nevielle and the Ghouls). Been trying to search it online, but the tips aren't clear enough. I know Ron has to get the crystal to light up, but how? Can anyone help? Please, give good detailed walk through for this. To defeat the Hinkypunks, cast Lumos on them until they look kinda dizzy (Smoke will come out of them when this happens). Then cast Flipendo on them. (You have to do this a couple of times on each of them)

I know that there's a rotatable mirror and some crystal orb statue. You have to rotate the mirror at a certain angle and then use Lumos on the crystal orb. Then the light will bounce off the mirror and will hit an eye, that is above the closed gate. Then the gate will open. I think that's how to do it.
