I've been living with my boyfriend for a year now and he is in the military. So we are common law by their standards. The only thing is we don't have proof that it has been a year. The first 6 months of my living here all my mail, got confused by Canada post. They say I can have a letter from the landlord with both our names on it, but he owns the house. We have thought about that way, or going to a lawyer and getting paperwork there.
