How can I access my military email account from home?

What steps need to be taken in order to access my military (Marine Corps) email account (via Outlook) through a personal laptop? All I know at the moment is that I'll need a CAC Reader, but don't know where to acquire one.How can I access my military email account from home?not everyone is actually allowed to get a CAC reader start with your Chain of command. How can I access my military email account from home?well for army we have AKO. i know marines have the same thing, just can't think of the name at this moment.

you can't use outlook. you have to go to the web page. again... army is www.us.army.mil. can't think of what the marines are.

if will ask you to sign in using your CAC card. you don't have one at home... so you can request a temporary pin password. it will let you log in for 3 days then kick you out of the system again.

best thing is to go down to the recruiters office and activate your CAC. which is basically swiping your ID card. once your CAC has been set up you should be able to use the web page from home for 180 days. then you will need to swipe your card again. OR if you are on base then go to your personel section. How can I access my military email account from home?if you are active duty, ask your command chain what the www link is to access your account at home, all services have a different one. If you have a CAC card with a pin already associated with it your good to go, just go to the clothing and sales store or PX exchange to but a CAC reader.. Your G6 should also be ableto tell you how to acquire one for free through the military, the G6 should also be able to help you with the CAC reader info on your home computer.. Good luck
