What is the diffrence between all the Military Police of the branches?

Army and Marines have Military Police, Marines and Navy have Shore Patrol, Air Force have Security Force and Coast Guard have Maritime Enforcement.

That's the right equivalent for CG right?

What's the difference between all these units and specialties?

Also what about the noncombat Uniformed NOAA and PHSCC, Do they have MPs?What is the diffrence between all the Military Police of the branches? In the CG, we have Maritime Enforcement, but it is completely different than an MP. An MP in another service is generally the police for that particular service (think, an MP in the Navy will arrest a sailor for driving drunk on base). An ME in the CG focuses on maritime enforcement, meaning they're dealing with the security of waterways or doing boardings on vessels. It's a sweet gig, but it isn't like being a cop all that much. What is the diffrence between all the Military Police of the branches?Coast Guard does not have MP's or the equivalent. They are entirely too small too warrant such a rate.
