None. You do not need college Algebra to enter the US military. The ASVAB does not contain math questions at that level. It contains questions at the 10th grade level. If you have a good math background in solving word problems, high school Algebra, Time/Rate/Distance problems, Proportions/Percent questions, money calculations - cost per unit, square roots, cube roots, exponents, etc. then you should be OK in the math department. There are 30 math questions on the ASVAB. You have 36 minutes to answer them - timed test.



If you want to take more math in high school then make sure you take: 9th grade Algebra, 10th grade Geometry, 11th grade Trigonometry and 12th grade Calculus.



Save the College Math IF and WHEN you do attend college.



Statistics is boring and nobody enlisted will ever use statistics. The military will not make you an "economist."



And, if you go into a military job that requires some practical application of mathematics the service will have a course to teach you what they want you to know. When I entered Radar Maintenance school the first block of instruction was: Math for Electronics.

Acouple of days ago I watched the Red Bull Air Race finals in Perth and I wonder who are those pilots. Are they all military pilots or are they airline pilots?

Is it enough to have the medical class 1 for acrobatic flying?...or is there a special medical exam for them?

Usually, they will use military personel because, they have to be allowed to fly the fighter jets, otherwise, a normal plane usually can't manuvour as well.Also have to have the authorization to operate the planes.Is acrobatic flying resreved for military pilots only?No, most are not military pilots or airline pilots. I have been to a lot of airshows, met these pilots, and even was involved in interviewing some for an Airshow talkshow. Most of these pilots started out with their private pilot's license, though General Yeager started as a military pilot.



Aerobatic pilots include Patty Wagstaff (one of the few female pilots), Sean D. Tucker (well known for the 1-800-COLLECT ads a few years back), Chuck Yeager (first person to break the sound barrier), and the Red Devils/Eagles team of Tom Poberenzy, Gene Soucy, Charlie Hillard (died from plane landing accident).

Currently I'm looking into the Air Force and the Army. I would really love to become a civilian doctor one day but I plan on staying in the military until I retire. I also want the best branch in which to hold a medical career too. I'm looking for the best option that will pay for the most college. All branches have excellent health care training if you can get into it (we all bleed the same!) However, each branch had different ways for you to "pick" your job. The Army in my opinion is the best as far as when it comes time to pick your job. You say what you want, they click buttons on their computer, they tell you if it's open of not, it is is you sign up, if it's not, you can say screw it, or pick something else. I know in the USAF you pick something like your top 5 jobs and they work the way down your list from most interested to least interested. Sometimes it can be aggravating getting stuck with jobs you don't want. Do yourself a favor and look into the Army Reserves and National Guard. I'm in the active duty Army and I know health care MOS are getting harder and harder to find. One of my ex girlfriends is in the national guard and is a 68W and works with EMTs 2 days a month, gets paid decent for it, and got free training, and a free education.

As far as being enlisted and going to be officer(All doctors are officers). Depends on you. You could go up the enlisted route and be a IDC(Independant duty corpsmen) continue your education become a PA. Or you could get selected to the yellow program in which you are sent to medical school. Afterwards you get commisioned and serve some time on active duty.

Suppose that someone donated some food to the US military, and in the bottom of the box, hidden by all of the food, there was a pistol.
