Lego Harry Potter Help, please?
I'm about ready to scream and toss the damn game out the window. I can't seem to beat Quirrel/Voldemort. Everything I look at online is telling me to use the WL spell at the green heads when the damn things are purple/pink. I'm using it, but it's not working. I'm facing the heads and throwing that spell out like no one business yet I've been getting my butt handed to me for the last 30 minutes.

It may just be timing - you need to dodge the regular missles for about 5 or 6 tries, and then he'll send a green head at you. You need have WL selected, and then to wait until you see the pink WL outline of the head as it gets close. At that time use WL to force it back at him. Rinse, Repeat x 3, then go over and touch him when he's down with stars around his head.

What can you tell me about the history of the online game runescape & the game's creation & making?
Now, I know that this is a really weird and unusual question. Most people, when they play runescape, don't really take much time to think about how it all started. But, one day, I became curious and got to thinking...Who invented runescape? How did runescape begin? How was it conceptualized in its early stages. What little I do know about its history is that it was released in 2004 as the first MMORPG game. And, this game has now become a phenomenon and has someone managed to stick around to today. This current year of 2010. It is now the number one online free multiplayer game. It is owned by jagex. Maybe, released by jagex as well. On that part, I'm not entiredly sure. I was recently introduced to runescape in May 2010 and have been playing it for two to three months. Sure, the game gets boring after awhile in free world, but there is just so much to do in member's. And, it amazes me that, after five or six years, the people who made the game are STILL making money off it. That it has managed to stick around for so long...What inspired the haunting landscapes in runescape...Was it any particular geographical location in either America (i'm thinking west coast or perhaps east coast because of all the oceans) or in England or perhaps elsewhere? And, what gives the game such it's large appeal to the masses? Is it the appeal of the game itself or the ability to chat with other players from nearby and faraway places in real life, or, is it the magical combination of the two: gameplay and online iming/chat? Who or what inspired this brilliant game and gameplay type? Was it the first of it's kind or not? And, why do so many people in times of loss turn to runescape for comfort--people who are depressed and people who are in despair. Even, people who are bored sometimes play it...And, it is reserved for all ages or just for 12-18 year olds? How about 20 yr olds and up playing it? And, lastly, what makes it so appealing that one can sometimes find online "friends" who become real friends and even "boyfriends" who become real boyfriends. My best friend found her boyfriend on runescape about five years ago and they are still together and have even seen each other in real life and talk daily. Runescape introduced them. Same, with another friend that I know who found his girlfriend as well on runescape. They are not still together but they were very close when they were. What, exactly, has powered this massive runescape machination and hysteria(by hysteria i mean widespred phenomenon)--videos on youtube, searches on every major website or search engine. And, much, much more...Why does it appeal to so many people? Is it the variety of quests and things to do such as training skills and earning skillcapes that one can accomplish? And, what gives some people a sense of achievement on it, while others lose interest and become bored? You choose a faction and then play against other tanks to rank up, get points (for the leaderboard), and get awards for kills, time played, high ranks, etc. You can also play in weekend tournaments for gold, silver, and bronze cup awards and participate in community based contests like map making and skin design for other awards for your tank. It is addictive too. You can take raids from groups of enemy players and get bonus points if you survive, and raid other players to rank up easier. It's awesome. Highly recommended for an addictive game. The main goal is to climb the leaderboards to the Top 10 of your faction or even the Top 10 of the map you play on. I think you would like it.

I'd recommend Travian. It's a fantastic online MMO game and completely free to play. The only cost involved is "Travian Gold" which gives slight advantages (However they aren't huge and can have loads of fun without).
It's very team orientated - set in the past you choose from 3 tribes - Gauls, Romans or Teutons. Everyone starts with one village and builds/expands - either through war or trading.
It is a war game so be prepared to fight and use thousands of troops!

Im dating this guy about almost 4 years and we got one kid together, and he is a gamer, a harry potter fan, he has no job no high school diploma, he just lay around the house and watch t.v and play games. Well ever since my daughter is born the past 6 months Im the one to get up in early in the morning to feed and change her and rocked her back to sleep while he still sleeping and not helping me. How do you win at Chess?
I suck at it! I've tried looking online how to play and how to win it and it's nothing but confusion. Which pieces is more dominating than the others so I don't get some pieces in the way in danger of getting captured? Actually, right now I'm not playing the regular chess game but a chess game for one of Harry Potter's games and it's even more tough because the pieces aren't the same.How do you win at Chess?

I have control over dark squares therefore I will be rid of my dark bishop because it's useless. try trading that piece for an opponent's knight)

The problem here is that Gamestop sets their own "buy back" prices. So the prices they will buy from you at aren't the prices that they are worth. The games and systems are worth whatever price gamestop will charge for them, which will be a fair amount more then what they will pay you for them.
The Game Cube and PS2 are obviously older generation gaming systems, but the DS is still current generation. You might actually have some luck selling these as people are still buying them since they are cheaper then current generation stuff.
Im not sure I would even know how to guess at what gamestop will offer you. I would call gamestop for a quote, they should be able to do that for you over the phone.

Can you recommend any good games for the wii?
I am 15, male. I haven't had the wii long and at the moment I have got some boring games. These include; sims 3, wii sports, wii sports resort and Harry Potter and the half blood prince. These games are OK for a while, but now they are a bit boring and not very challenging. I have looked at mario kart, super mario bros and mario galaxy 2 but i don't know what to get. It would be good to get an online game or 2 player. At the moment I have only got 1 controller but I have just ordered another one. Hi. I'm 22 and I've always loved buying and trading Trading cards. I've got a whole bunch of cards and thought it would be a good idea to create a online store selling individual cards from different Trading card games like Harry Potter, Neopets, etc. and eventually booster packs. I am not sure about a trading cards and making some money doing it. You really need to find a collector that is wanting the cards you have so Ebay is probably your best bet. If you are interested in using the internet to make some money though, I found SFI Marketing which for the past 3 years is the #1 ranked Home Based Business in the world. How can I make a simple multiplayer online game similar to Gaia towns?
I want to create a simple online multiplayer game -- all I want is for users to be able to register, create a custom character, control that character's movement by use of the arrows keys, and chat.
The idea is to make it a Harry Potter based chat/multiplayer game. There would be only five or six chat rooms, which would be the Great Hall, Grounds, and then each of the four common rooms. It would just be a stationary background that the characters can move around on. The characters would not be animated, but I'd like to be able to switch the views a bit -- as in, see their backs when they are walking toward the top of the screen, and see their fronts when they are walking toward the bottom of the screen. I'd also like to be able to have a sorting hat sort of thing that would present a short survey upon sign up and then sort the members into their houses and allow them access to that house's common room.

You are probably missing some side quests, or didn't collect all of some items or something. I have never played the game but that is usually the case with games like these 98% of the time.

When will EA, who have the distributing rights for all HP games, develop, or better yet, get someone else to develop, a HP massively multiplayer online role playing game? Over 300 million books sold, an adaptable mmorpg type universe, movies grossing billions of dollars, the recent success in the mmorpg game genre, not to mention the millions of fans that are depressed because the books have ended, doesn鈥檛 seem to be able to convince them.Harry Potter MMORPG?

There best selling madden games only sold 3.5 million copies at 50 bucks a copy that only 175 Million (and that total). In 3 months with 1/2 the subscribers WoW has they would make more money.

Harry Potter Movie Party?
My boyfriend and I want to have Saturday night Harry Potter Movie parties over a 3 weekend span leading to the opening night of the newest Deathly Hallow movie coming out in Nov. We will be with a few friends (4-10) all over 21 years old watching 2 movies each night. I already have ideas for foods so that is not a problem. I was wondering what kind of games we could play, small simple, yet fun games. We already agreed on wearing names on the forehead and at the end guessing who we are for one night, what are some other games that we can play during or in between movies? Again the party is for adults, NO KIDS, so no running around on brooms...We are not Harry Potter nerds, just want to refresh on the movies before the final two come out while having fun. Was thinking about maybe incorporating drinking games some how. A true or false trivia would be nice, but I can't find any online that are printable. Seeing as it's going to be the last game, I think they should do something special with this one. Maybe they could add a online and a free roam with other players around the castle and diagon alley and hogsmeade ect.. you could have duels with people and level up and unlock new spells and clothes to personalize your character for online and play broomstick races and stuff.

Hey I'm 14 years old and I don't really have many friends, because I'm really shy and I moved to a new school over a year ago, and I have lots of trouble making new friends because I'm shy, I do have a couple but since I've moved I can't speak to them in person, I'm inside most of the time, sometimes I go out for walks and go ride my bike around the park but I wish i had more people to talk to, in September I am going to high school and I want to be able to have atleast a couple of friends in high school and I'm really weird I'm into stuff like Harry Potter, Animals, online gaming, animals and drawing, will people in high school hate me for that?I don't really have any friends?
Yeah the same happens to me, I think I麓m just at the wrong place because I麓m surrounded by the so called Pretty Girls and boys and I don麓t have much in common with them, I have a good relationship with them but it can麓t be called friendship, so I began to be a Lone Wolf, because I got tired trying to be with them doing things I don麓t like.
Since then I feel way stronger and happy, there have been some people that were like me but they had to go to others places and I got alone, but I didn麓t give up and as I wrote before I became a Lone Wolf and that has allowed me to be much more independant and able to do everything by myself which is awesome, now I don麓t care about others opinions and I am the best student and I麓m also building a strong body doing exercise and the most important, the spirit because there麓s a friend that never forgets you that is Jesus.
As long as I麓m a good person and can handle my life by the moment alone I wil grow stronger, then I will search for a lady that has in common with me and share my life with her like you, well I麓m 23 so we can麓t be boyfriends besides I live in Ecuador hehehe, but it麓s awesome to know that there are more people like me around the world, and as you can see there are boys like you that would love to be with you because they have in common with you and for many people, like me, prefer by far the personality than the physical aspect.
Please don麓t call you weird because you are not neither do I, because we like things most people don麓t, it doesn麓t transforms us into weirds.
Try to do like me, if you don麓t find people like you don麓t get stressed trying to be like the others, just be yourself, be good with people but don麓t let them take advantage from you, because there are people that like to use inocent people for their own sake, have enough courage to say NO when needed just as I began to do that麓s why I feel stronger too.
People will not hate you don麓t worry, as long as you are a good lady and help people but not doing their homework but just telling tips how to do it, just as I do, you will have a beautiful life and it will get better until you get someone like you, but until them enjoy your life and don麓t get stressed doing things you don麓t like.

When I was moving to high school people i knew said you will make loads of new friends and its likely that you wont be friends with people you know now and its really true. I made loads of knew friends and none of them went to my primary. Just be confident and talk to people. And loads of people are into stuff like that honestly. You will make friends with people in your subject classes :) try not to be shy, just join in conversations. Good luck :D xI don't really have any friends?

Oh, and she became quite the whooore (I guess to overcompensate for her lack of friends and social skills). I'm not saying you should change or anything, but maybe be careful in waving the freak flag.

Don't worry about, I'm just like you - I'm really shy and have problems making friends but slowly I've become less shy. And don't worry people in highschool won't hate you for what you like. Because to me, you sound really cool ;) Harry Potter is the best! As agreed with like everyone, animals are adorable - my friend loves them and she has tons of animals. Online gaming is quite, and drawing is the best! I draw anime and manga characters - everyone loves it when I do. You'll definitely make a lot of friends, trust me, Weird is amazing - bland, boring people are boring. I'm 15 (soon to be 16) btw, so I've been there. Try joining some clubs, that's the easiest way to get friends as you'll have a common interest - I play the french horn so I'm in band and sing; choir. I'm also part of a drama club and do after school netball - there will be bitches, unfortunately. But you just have to decipher between them and good people, ingnore those who are horrible but don't worry since the good people always outnumber the others. Anyway sorry that was way way too long %26gt;.%26lt; and good luck~ ;)
Ok dude, I'm not gonna lie some people WILL DEFINATLY think that your sad because most teenagers arn't into that stuff and if your a guy the assumption is that your into "Man stuff" like Girls and Football and stuff like that, whereas if you're a girl your assumed to be into "Girly stuff" like Boys, and Fashion etc...
Don't get me wrong I have nothing agaisnt what you like because everyone has thier own personalitly and you like Harry Potter and Animals so I guess its whatever floats your boat but the thing is your not gonna make much friends with hobbies like that but their probably will be a couple of people you will make friends. You could make friends however via your Online Gaming hobbie if your a boy because most boys like that sort of stuff espeically if its things like Shoot 'em Up games etc....
Overall I dont think people in School will hate you but you just won't make friends with that kind of personality, so try to find new hobbies whether its an interest in Boys/Girls or you start to like a sport or fashion (depending on your gender)

My internet browser is Firefox and I want to download the online Harry Potter RPG game. So I click download and I have to downlaod something called Zango so I clik save, then run. And Zango installs and it says installation complete. But all is on my computer is setup.exe, so I cliked that and when I clicked it, it just reinstalls the game. Whi wont Zango install to my computer and how do u download the HP game to your computer?? because whenever i click download on the website it just download Zango again. Please help!Help. Perhaps Zango got installed, but there isn't a desktop icon for it. I would suggest that you try to find it by searching for it or looking in the Start Menu.

Harry Potter order of the phoenix game?
Does anyone know why i cannot get past the DA members section. I have gone and gotten to everyone i needed. There are still 2 more tasks left on the map, one is in the gryffendor boys common room and one is in one of the courtyards. PLEASE ANSWER THIS!!! HARRY POTTER HBP DS GAME?
Am on the bit where I've just helped Luna get her stuff back. Now I'm playing quidditch against slytherin, and it's really hard, don't know what to do when it says the snitch has been released!! Wouldn't ask normally, but as it's a relatively new game, there are no walkthroughs or anything to help online.

How can i get the normal (old) xbox games to play on my xbox360?
i'm not a very "gamey" person, but brought a harry potter game (don't laugh!) the other day, and i asked the man in the shop if it would work in my 360, a he said "yes definately" but when i got homean put it in, it says it wont work, and i need updates, my xbox 360 isn "online" (where you can play with other people online)....i there a way to get t to work as i really would like it to :D

Wouldn't it be great if they made a game online with Harry Potter? You know, like Lineage. Being able to meet other players(students), go all around Hogwarts and fight monsters in the forbidden forest and elsewhere? I think it's a great idea! If only EA or another company read this... All consoles, you create a character, give him/her stats and talents, choose what they look like, their name, and all that.
then you go online to do your 7 years at hogwarts, and interact with other players, and eventually you run into some well known characters like harry potter and Dumbledore.
You can learn many spells and use them all around, and theres classes that if you sign up for them, you must make it their on time. You get assigned a house and have the option of trying out for the quidditch team, and your skill level is based on how many years you've been there, how many spells you know, and how many extra things you do.
I think it would be an awesome idea, hard to make, but crazy awesome. Especially with ps3 and x box 360 graphics, i would never stop playing it... I would pay a monthly prescription for it.

I found that to be the most depressing death I've ever read about because George is all on his own. =O
I cried so much. Same with Hedwig, Lupin and Tonks etc.
Then again I'd rather him than Ron, Harry or Hermione. That sounds quite cruel, but like you weren't thinking it!!

And I was actually kinda dissapointed with the movie. There wasn't enough adventure for me. Also Lord Voldemort wasn't even in it!! What really got me was the ending because I haven't read the books and now I am because I REALLY want to know what happens. The ending made me really frustrated because I wanted to know what happened next!
I was very upset with Fred dieing as well. And I was very disappointed with how the ending didn't pay more tribute to any of the deaths, except a simple Harry Potter "moody moment". But it's J.K. Rolling's story and she did a brilliant job with it. I've seen the new movie and I think it was almost bittersweet. They captured me and it was by far the most emotional and funnier of the six out so far. Then again, it didn't stay very dedicated to the book, which I can understand director's need to change a little bit. It would of been nice though to see the huge fight at the end. I think overall it was a pretty good movie. I went to the midnight showing(:

JK Rowling said in an interview that she was going to kill either Mr. Weasley in the fifth book where he was bitten by the snake or another Weasley. The seventh book was filled with minor character death. It would have been interesting if she killed a major character so it'd be more emotional and meaningful if done properly.
I had mixed feelings about the sixth movie. As always, I grow upset when they change or not include things. I know this happens with most book to movie adaptations, but still, I was looking forward to the things that weren't included in the movie. Let's hope the seventh movie doesn't encounter this problem since they are splitting it into two freaking movies. In the end, I thought the sixth was better than the fifth (which was highly unmemorable to me, besides Sirius' death) but not as good as the fourth (which is by far, my favourite Harry Potter movie. I hope the seventh can steal this place).

Console games I've enjoyed: Call of duty, battlefield bc2,other shooters, final fantasy games, other similair rpgs.
kingdom hearts series, Ratchet and Clank, Sims 3 of course(ps3), Gears of war, simple structure games such as super stardust HD, Shatter on psn (LOVE IT), actually enjoyed the older harry potter games seeing as I like free roam and exploration, Love grand theft auto games (san andreas being my favorite,would this pc run san andreas?) I actually liked gta 4 but hated the story (it was the gameplay that i liked)

How do video games change from platform to platform?
Okay, I've been playing video games since I can remember (I'm 17 now).
Obviously I've had different game systems (NES, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, PS2, GameCube, Xbox 360, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance %26amp; GBA SP.)
Even though I've own ALL of those systems I've never had any of the same games for different platforms.
I know that whether your playing Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 - the online play for Call of Duty Black Ops is the same, just different controls.
But for earlier games, say the Harry Potter series (one of my favorites - had it for GameCube) would the game play itself be a little different from other game systems? I'm just curious because multiple times that I've been searching the internet for gaming stuff, I've found stuff for Harry Potter that I've never seen before. The first Harry Potter game (Sorcerer's Stone) I own for PS1 - and looking at the back of cases I've seen for the same game, but different systems - I saw things I've never seen in the PS1 version.
If the games ARE the same, but have different controls - why does everyone create SPECIFIC game guides? Most don't include cheat codes that you can push into the controller anymore, so why make different ones?
LAST QUESTION... is it weird that I'm a girl and I play video games? I've been told that it is very weird, I've been told it's awesome. What do you think?How do video games change from platform to platform?
i have been gaming for 35 years and i know that when different games were ported to other systems years back they did either loose things or gain things depending on what that system could handle.most games,if not all that are ported now,don't usually loose any thing,they usually all have the same content.as for you being a girl and playing video games,there is nothing weird about that,especially not now a days.there are more and more girls playing video games every day,so don't let any one tell you your weird for playing them.hope this helps.have fun gaming.How do video games change from platform to platform?
I don't know about Harry Potter per say, but some old games that came out for different systems back then did have an extra level, deleted level, etc. depending on the console. Even like games being ported to Gameboy lost a few things for space, so I wouldn't doubt that somewhere along the line Harry Potter succumbed to this. Or maybe you just missed stuff. And no, it's not weird you like video games, it's pretty awesome.
Obviously I've had different game systems (NES, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, PS2, GameCube, Xbox 360, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance %26amp; GBA SP.)
Even though I've own ALL of those systems I've never had any of the same games for different platforms.
I know that whether your playing Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 - the online play for Call of Duty Black Ops is the same, just different controls.
But for earlier games, say the Harry Potter series (one of my favorites - had it for GameCube) would the game play itself be a little different from other game systems? I'm just curious because multiple times that I've been searching the internet for gaming stuff, I've found stuff for Harry Potter that I've never seen before. The first Harry Potter game (Sorcerer's Stone) I own for PS1 - and looking at the back of cases I've seen for the same game, but different systems - I saw things I've never seen in the PS1 version.
If the games ARE the same, but have different controls - why does everyone create SPECIFIC game guides? Most don't include cheat codes that you can push into the controller anymore, so why make different ones?
