I got 40.00 saved up. My mom can't find a job my step dad is barely working. And I am unable to find a job as well due to my SSI. But I get a little money here and there. Like if i do chorse I get like 5.00 a week. Which is fine with me.
The reason why I call it my rainy day fund is that Washington state's weather is unpredictable. and who knows one minute it will be sunny the next stormy and rainy or snowing and cold.
And would like to have back-up money for stuff I like. However, I was thinking getting a wii. But my biological dad can't really afford to help me get a wii.
I love books. When ever I am not online I am always reading a book. I feel that a wii will rot my brain. My grandma hates video games and got me into reading a lot more. I do got a used book store down the street in which I can go to and just look at books to see what they have on the shelves. They dont really carry new books. Unless it has to do with the school district than they order the books.
I bought To kill a mockingbird and Gone with the wind, as well and 4 of the Harry potter books from that book store. How to build up on my rainy day fund?
Yeah I think you should just keep saving the money up and continuing buying books. The wii is really expensive and if you buy that you're going to need a game and those are really expensive and you can really only play one game for so long that you'll become so bored with it and will need a new one so it will just cost a lot of money. My sister had a wii, to be quite honest I thought it was pretty boring. I love to read like you, so maybe that's why, but my sisters hates reading and she sold the wii after a few months. So keep saving the money you get from chores. I wish I could send you some of my books! I really would if I could! How to build up on my rainy day fund?
Well, I'm not sure about saving money for a wii, but a good way to read books for free is at the library. If you don't have an account, I think it's only a dollar to open one and you'll have it the rest of your life. Then you can check out books and DVDs for free. Hope that helps.
