Uncharted 2 froze while matchmaking on PS3?

I have a 160GB Slim PS3, and i've had it since December 2010. I was matchmaking on Uncharted 2, online multiplayer, and chose the game type "Plunder". It takes me ages to get into a game, and suddenly when all the players were found, the game was starting to begin, the screen froze and wouldn't continue loading at all, so I had no other option except from restart my PS3, by pressing the on/off button on the front of my PS3. Does this happen to anybody else? Is this normal? It happens with my other games while online as well, such as "Lego Harry Potter" and "Pain".Uncharted 2 froze while matchmaking on PS3?
it can happen on any online game if you have a poor connection that gets lost or if the game updates and you had a bad connection online it can download a file with missing data and this will cause problems

any game can also freeze if the game was made with glitches or the disc is scratched , if it mainly happens online then check your connection speed , nat type and settings for the router , if it happens offline then check the disc

also , if a game freezes a lot then the game may have some corrupted data in the updates or game install , you should delete any psn games that keep freezing and download them again and/or delete the game data for the game and reinstall it

game data includes disc installs , updates and dlc ( they reinstall when you play and update it again and download the game or dlc again )

if a game freezes it is really important to reset the ps3 properly or risk damage to it , to reset the system hold the power button on the console until it beeps once then let it go

never unplug ot use a fat ps3 rear on off switvh to turn off a frozen system
