What can i do to motivate myself to do the summer reading?

i didnt even start summer reading and school starts on september 9th. i have to read 2 books, take an online test,and take another test when we get back to school. i usually do it at the last minute so i will remember better for the test but i cant procrastinate. what can i do so it wont be so boring? also what 2 books do you recommend out of these are the easiest and most interesting and maybe scary?

I read Bridge to Terebithia and Julie when I was in elementary. Julie is kind of boring, but it's basically about a girl that has to survive in the wilderness of Alaska. She likes wolves. Bridge to Terebithia is about a boy and girl who always play make believe but one day the girl dies. The boy realizes that he loved her. That's one of my favorites.



and House on Mango Street, if I remember right, is a lot about a Mexican-American girl who isn't happy with her life because of the culture she is in.



Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix... so easy! You can just watch the movie. But the book itself is pretty long. It's not my favorite of Rowling's, but you might like it. They tend to hide out in Harry's godfather's house and fund an association at the school.



Catherine Called Birdy was also a fun book to me; it's in the medieval times and the girl wants to grow up normally but her family makes her have to be proper, as princesses are.



My personal favorite is Bridge to Terebithia.

I'd personally choose Bridge to Terabithia and Golden Compass. I just finished reading GC and I /loved/ it and while I've never read BTT, I have seen the movie, and it was one of the best things I've seen.
Westling Game is a good book. I read it when I was in 6th grade. It is a mystery book about murder. There is also a movie to it. =))))))
