What do you think Christians think about Fantasy RPGs?

I asked this in the Video and Online games but one of the persons answering suggested i treyed to ask here.



After reading about how some Christians hate Harry Potter i was wondering, what do you think Christians think about games like Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and or Morrowind, Two Worlds, Gothic, Fable, World of Warcraft and so on?



And would it be wrong to play them if you are Christian?What do you think Christians think about Fantasy RPGs?
I will tell you this much. I have an account on Secondlife.com and there are tonnes of Christians. Like millions, no exaggeration. Replicas of the Sistine Chapel, Churches, any religious anything you could think of. So they seem to like some.



And yes they have weekly mass, preachers, marriages, all of that.
Some believe the scriptures that warn against Witchcraft and the occult apply to RPGs and MMOs because some of the original games, (former AD%26amp;D player here), contained some occult-based names and references.



Personally I see nothing wrong with either as long as you keep things in perspective; there are a LOT of Warcraft widows out there who wonder where their loved ones have gone...What do you think Christians think about Fantasy RPGs?
Oblivion is alright though I have played better. Fable I found to be a disappointment but still pretty good. WoW was fun but after a while I got bored with it. Gothic was alright.



There is nothing wrong with playing these games as long as you can tell fiction from reality.

Mostly we write programs for your games, Japanese companies build the game equiptment, you buy it and we split the money with the Japanese, not you you are the one spending the money. Are you studying to be an anti-christian biggot or is it natural for you?
Not wrong. Just don't get so caught up in it that you forget about life. And if you're married, really cut back. If you're a kid, you'll be surprised some day that you have to get a job and life isn't a cake walk.
since I don't know where you stand I ask : what kind of message is it sending to others? If it causes them to sin am I not responsible for that sin?
